Past

So in 2008 a baby was born. Me!!! So her mom and dad named her Andrea*. She had brown eyes brown hair and was light skin. Her mother and father were so so so happy. Her mother was happy to feed her for the first time. The baby looked into her mother’s eye and something astonishing happened. When she was eight, she played the violin, danced, and stepped just like her mom did as a kid. She soon turned nine. She was in the fourth grade. She got good grades. Well that’s what she thought it was. On November 21, 2017, when she got done with her math and read a book, she saw her teacher folding papers. She then noticed it was a report card and it had her named on it. She was very worried how hers would look.

An influential person to me is my parents. I chose my parents because my dad and I went to a track and he let me practice there. The sun was up and guess what happened? I was riding up the hill really fast. There was a drop and I fell. I wasn’t injured and I was okay. A thing I did with my mom was we went to Alive at Five and I was having so much fun. We went to chill and I sat at the gate and I tripped. My mom grabbed me before I could fall.

A special time was when I was with my dad and we went snowmobiling with my uncle and cousin. My helmet kept hitting his and I was laughing. It didn’t hurt him at all.

– Age 9

One time I did a back bend with my friend. It was special because I never knew I could do it so I was so excited. I was at school in the gym. That was my first ever back bend. I’ve done a lot of back bends since then. I LOVE gymnastics! I really want to do gymnastics lessons.

One time I went to a friend’s birthday party. There was food and we had cake and pizza. We played air hockey, pool, and race car games. We also played laser tag twice. After the party, we went to his house and played.

– Age 9

This summer I joined a football team, broke my knee cap, and tore a muscle. My coaches were hard on me. They would yell at me even when I tried my best. When I got injured, I was rushed to the hospital and the doctor said that I would be in the ER for a long time, and that I injured my rib.

– Age 10

My cousin Leona is very helpful. She gives me good advice at how to stop and stand up for myself. She is 12 and I am 10. But sometimes she is bothersome. We went to New Jersey for a birthday party and my family was at the party. We eat food like cake. They buy it at the store even though my mom does make good cakes. I like to eat the cakes they buy. My favorite cake is red velvet with white frosting. I love sharing this cake with my family and spending time with them.

– Age 10

A valuable lesson I learned was that I thought a math test was going to be easy but it was hard. The lesson I learned was not to brag. I’m going to do better on a test. A thing I could do to prepare on my test is to look over my notes. My notes are mostly about adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing decimals. The lesson I learned was education can be hard.

My mom went to UAlbany College in Albany. After college she got a job at a construction development company in Albany. My grandmas, grandpas, aunts, and uncles live in Brooklyn where she grew up. We went to visit them. Sometimes we take the bus and sometimes we take the train. We stay with my grandma. We go down for the holidays. We used to go to Brooklyn for my birthday but we don’t anymore. My birthday is my favorite holiday. My birthday is in March. I like to celebrate my birthday with my family.

– Age 11

A special moment in my life was when my brother was born. When I was ten years old, my mom told me that she was having a baby boy. I was excited when I heard the news. When he was actually born, he was so adorable. I held him so much and gave him his bottle.

– Age 11

Almost every Christmas, my family and I go out and give the homeless people presents to help them out because they can’t get food or presents. They need help with buying stuff and other things and they can’t buy food. The gifts I gave the people were special to me.

– Age 11

My future past: My past is that I will be a gymnastics star and a ballet star. I can travel all around the world with my family. I will practice and practice, give myself a break, and then do it again. Ever since I was a baby I would do flip overs with my hands. I did a flip over with no hands but not all the way. Then, when I was ten, I actually did a flip over. I finally did it. But… I fell on my butt. I started doing gymnastics because I loved watching Rybka twins and I started to get better at the age of nine.

– Age 11

On Veteran’s Day, it was my birthday. In 2016, it was a fun day that I had and my dad brought me to fun places so I can have fun. My dad brought me to Skyzone and Time’s Union Center to see WWE. The reason is because the places he brought me were places I always wanted to go. The thing I did at Skyzone was I dunked on my brother. It was a funny thing to do to him.
